jika subyek I, We, You, They atau Students,My Parents,Cats (jamak)

  • I go to school early

  • You like ice cream

  • You do not like ice cream

  • Do you like ice cream?

  • My cats eat fish

Jika subyek He, She, It atau Hilma,Tono,Cat (tunggal)

  • She buys book in the Gramedia Bookstore. 

  • He eats some bread for lunch.

  • Does she play basketball everyday?

  • He does not cut branch of tree in the garden

  • My cat eats fish

ATURAN PENAMBAHAN S/ES

Jika kata kerja berakhiran dengan huruf s, o, ch, sh, x dan z maka akhiran ditambahi es

  • Fix → fixes = memperbaiki

  • Finish → finishes = menyelesaikan

  • Kiss → kisses = mencium

  • Discuss →discusses = mendiskusikan

  • Catch → catches = menangkap

  • Push → pushes = mendorong

  • Watch → watches = meonton

Jika kata berakhiran huruf “y”, maka "y" dirubah menjadi huruf “i” lalu ditambahkan akhiran “es”

  • Study → studies = belajar

  • Fly → flies = terbang

  • Try → tries = mencoba

  • Cry → cries = menangis

  • Fry → fries = menggoreng

  • Story → Stories = bercerita

  • Reply → replies = membalas

  • Carry → carries = membawa
